For companies

The business works. The technology fell behind.

Many established companies grew on processes that work, but that now rely on critical spreadsheets, legacy systems and people who know by heart how things get done. Diagium looks at that operation and shows how technology can keep up with it.

The setting

How the routine usually works.

Manufacturing, distribution, logistics, engineering, construction, B2B trade, education, services: the sector changes, but the moment tends to look the same. The company has customers, proven processes and a team that knows the business. What didn’t keep up with growth was the technology.

It’s common to find a legacy system nobody wants to touch, spreadsheets that have become critical, departments using different tools for the same information and reports assembled by hand at the end of the month.

At that point, the company isn’t looking for “software development”. It’s looking for someone to look at the problem and say, clearly, how technology can solve it.

Where the operation gets stuck

The pain points we see most.

Spreadsheets that became systems

Critical controls live in spreadsheets only a few people know how to maintain, with no history, no permissions and no security.

Legacy systems holding the business back

The system does what it always did, but it doesn’t keep up with new needs, and every change feels risky.

Departments working in silos

Sales, operations and finance use different tools, and the same information is typed in more than once.

Processes that wait on someone

Orders, checks, approvals and reports only move when a person copies, verifies and passes them on.

No overall technology view

Nobody looks at the company’s technology as a whole to say what to prioritize, what to keep and what to change.

It makes sense when…

Signs it’s time to look at the technology.

Not every operation needs a project right now. These are the signs that usually mean a diagnosis is worth it.

It makes sense when:

  • The company is established and growing, but the operation relies on spreadsheets and manual work.
  • There’s a legacy system holding the business back, and nobody is quite sure what to do with it.
  • Each department has its own tools, and they don’t talk to each other.
  • Decisions depend on reports put together by hand.
  • There’s no in-house technology team, or it’s busy keeping the existing systems running.
  • There’s a sense that technology could do more, without a clear idea of where to start.

Where the diagnosis comes in

Understand first. Then build.

For a company in the middle of modernizing, the diagnosis answers the question that comes before any project: where to start. We go through each area’s processes, the systems and spreadsheets that hold the operation together and the points where information is copied or checked by hand. The Technology Evolution Map shows what to keep, what to integrate, what to automate, what to modernize and what is worth building, in an order the company can actually carry out.

The first conversation is free; the full diagnosis, with the Technology Evolution Map, is a paid service, remote or on-site by arrangement.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions.

Does Diagium only work in healthcare?

Healthcare is our main territory, but not the only one. We work with companies in other sectors when they have the same kind of problem: an operation that grew and technology that didn’t keep up.

Do we need to replace our legacy system?

Not always. Sometimes the legacy system handles the core well, and the answer is to connect it to the other tools and build around it. When replacement is necessary, we plan the transition so the operation isn’t interrupted.

Can our spreadsheets become a system?

They can, when the spreadsheet is already critical to the operation. First we understand what it controls, who uses it and which rules are hidden in the formulas, so the system keeps what works and fixes what doesn’t.

Do you build management dashboards and reports?

We do, from the data the company already has. The first step is defining which decisions the dashboard needs to support; then where the data comes from and how to keep it up to date without manual work.

We don’t have an IT team. Will you take on that role?

Not as IT support. We work on developing and evolving the technology behind the operation: diagnosis, projects, integrations and ongoing evolution built on the context we gather about the company.

Shall we understand your operation?

The next step for your technology starts with a conversation.

You know your business, your processes and the challenges you face every day. We can help you understand how technology can respond to those needs.

Tell us what's happening in your operation. We'll talk through the context, identify possibilities and assess how Diagium can help.

You don't need to arrive with a defined solution.

We start by understanding the problem.

We take on a limited number of new projects each quarter.
